Soft Tissue Graft

A Soft Tissue Graft is almost always a service performed by necessity. The need for this treatment occurs when periodontal disease starts setting in, and your gums are receding.

This creates several problems that can occur with your dental health such as:

  • Loss of defense against bacteria
  • Sensitivity to temperature
  • Accumulation of unsightly gum recession
  • Root surface exposure
  • Cavities
  • Root Gouging

The Soft Tissue Graft treatment is performed to prevent and to solve these degenerative problems. In the process, a thin piece of tissue is removed from the roof of the mouth, and carefully placed around the effected tooth. This graft can thereby cover the exposed portion of the root.

The procedure is very safe, and very predictable. However, when considering any such treatment, consultation with either Dr. Uzpurvis or Dr. Booth is strongly recommended. At our practice, this service will be made available to you, with the kind of service that you deserve.

Additional periodontal services may be necessary due to extensive decay and/or damage. By calling our practice, we can answer any questions you may have. Give us a call!
